Guideway Systems
Guideway Systems : Combination of guideways that are used by one transport mode for all or part of its route. Guideway systems in operation or under development are usually classified by the type of support system used, as follows: (1) steel rails for steel wheels, e.g. tramway, railway. (2) concrete steel beam for rubber tyres, e.g. monorail. (3) concrete trough for rubber tyres, e.g. O-bahn. (4) metal stator beam for magnetically levitated vehicles
