Halogens 2

Halogens 2 : The members of this group are chemically active and have similar chemical compositions. Some halogens include bromine, chlorine, florine, and iodine. They differ from each other only in the degree of activity. They are noncombustible but will support combustion of certain compounds. Turpentine, phosphorus, and some finely divided metals will ignite spontaneously in the presence of halogens. Halogen fumes are poisonous, corrosive, and extremely irritating to eyes and throat.
