Heat of Reaction 2

Heat of Reaction 2 : The amount of heat evolved or absorbed in a reaction as written between molar weights of reactants. For example the reaction C + O2 = CO2 + 393. 296kJ means that 12 grams of carbon and 32 grams of oxygen react yielding 44 grams of carbon dioxide and giving out some 393. 296 kJ as heat. This is of course also an example of heat of combustion and heat of formation.
