Height of Dam 2

Height of Dam 2 : Normally the difference in level between the natural bed of the stream or watercourse at the downstream toe of the barrier or, if it is not across a stream channel or watercourse, between the lowest elevation of the outside limit of the barrier, and the Top of Dam. In some instances where a dam has a free-overflow Spillway only or has a gated spillway, it may be difficult to define the top of dam level as the normal abutment sections may not exist; in such cases the height is to be measured to the level arrived at by adding the Design Flood rise in water level to the level of the spillway crest, or to the Full Supply Level.
