Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) 4 :
The HSEEP is the policy and guidance component of the NEP, and serves to standardize exercise design, development, conduct, and evaluation for all (National-level, Federal, State, and local) exercises by establishing common language and concepts to be adopted and used by various agencies and organizations. HSEEP aims to synchronize all exercises in the Nation in addition to providing tools and resources for States and local jurisdictions to establish selfsustaining exercise programs.
