Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) :
After menopause a woman's sex hormone production is reduced. Although such hormones are principally involved in the regulation of reproductive function, they also play a role in the maintenance of general health. As such, the onset of menopause may have undesired side effects which may be ameliorated by substitution of the missing hormones. This is referred to as hormone replacement therapy
