Hose, Suction 2 : Hose specially constructed to withstand external pressure. Used between the open water and/or static supplies and the pump. May be of smooth bore or fully-embedded type, or, partially embedded type. Internal diameter 75, 100 and 140 mm. Constructed to withstand internal pressures of 10. 5 bars but actual acceptance test pressure is 7. 6 bars. Delivery hose will withstand much higher pressures
