Hours of Work : The amount of time workers are required to work per day or per week as established by law or by agreement between the employer and the worker. (For example, 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day). These represent standard working hours on which wage payments are based. Hours worked above these standards entitle the worker to overtime payments
