Hurricane/Cyclone : A large-scale closed circulation system in the atmosphere with low barometric pressure and strong winds that rotate counter clockwise in the northern hemisphere and clockwise in the southern hemisphere. Hurricanes are large atmospheric vortices with wind speeds of more than 100 kph; they develop in the doldrums of the tropics and move in an often erratic way towards higher latitudes
