Hyperthermia 2

Hyperthermia 2 :

Medicine. A condition in which a person's core body temperature becomes elevated. It occurs when the body produces or absorbs more heat than it can dissipate. The most common cause of hyperthermia at a wildfire incident is prolonged exposure to excessive heat or heat and humidity. When a person's body temperature is elevated sufficiently high, hyperthermia becomes a medical emergency requiring immediate treatment to prevent disability or death
