Analysis of Variance 3 : A statistical technique that isolates and assesses the contribution of categorical factors to variation in the mean of a continuous outcome variable. The data are divided into categories based on their values for each of the independent variables, and the differences between the mean outcome values of these categories are tested for statistical significance.
