Inattention
Inattention : Lack of attention; negligence. Selective inattention, an aspect of attentiveness in which a person attempts to ignore or avoid perceiving that which generates anxiety. Sensory inattention, the inability to feel a tactile stimulus when a similar stimulus, presented simultaneously in a homologous area of the body, is perceived. Visual inattention, the inability to perceive a photic stimulus in a visual field when a similar but perceived stimulus is presented simultaneously in the homologous field.
