Anchor Point 08 : An advantageous location, usually a barrier to fire spread, from which to begin constructing a control line. An anchor point is essential when constructing a control line because it will ensure that the control line is completely closed and that the fire cannot breakout of the area of containment. The creation of an anchor point is sometimes a key element included within the LACES safety protocol
