Jetting 1 : In sandy ground, installation of a pile may be assisted by water jetting under pressure. A jet pipe with outlets at opposite sides of the pile tip may be cast into the pile. The water jets loosen the soil ahead of the pile tip, allowing it to penetrate under its own weight or with light driving. Alternatively, external jet pipes may be clamped to opposite sides of the pile
