Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) 2 : The Joint Health and Safety Committee. Advisory group of employer and worker representatives that meets regularly to discuss safety concerns, review progress and make recommendations to the employer. Legally required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act in most workplaces with 20 or more workers. Depending on the size of the workplace, at least one worker member and one management representative must receive additional training to become certified members
