Anhydrous 03

Anhydrous 03 : (literally - without water). Many salts are of a crystalline nature and contain water in their constitution, which is known as water of crystallisation. Any substance which does not contain water of crystallisation is said to be anhydrous. Common salt (sodium chloride) does not contain water of crystallisation and is therefore anhydrous; whereas washing soda (crystalline sodium carbonate) contains more than 50% of water, and is thus hydrated
