Annual Limit of Intake
Annual Limit of Intake : Radiation and Radiological Disasters. The Annual Limit of Intake (ALI) is the derived limit for the amount of radioactive material taken into the body of an adult worker by inhalation or ingestion in a year. The values for intake by ingestion and inhalation of selected radionuclides are given by the national competent authority derived from the recommendations of international organizations as e.g. the International Commission for the Radiological Protection (ICPR) or the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR)
