Limiting Safe Mixture
Limiting Safe Mixture : I n a system containing (1) a combustible vapour or gas, (2) a supporter of combustion, and 3) an extinguishing agent, the limiting safe mixture is that mixture of two components which is non-flammable, whatever the proportion of the third component. Thus the limiting safe mixture of combustible and agent will not burn whatever the proportion of the supporter of combustion, and the combustible will not burn in the limiting safe mixture of extinguisher and supporter of combustion
