Line of Sight 1

Line of Sight 1 : A navigational technique which can be used when it is not possible to walk a bearing in a straight line because of obstacles. When using the line of sight technique, navigators walk to an obvious landmark that is situated directly on the bearing they wish to travel. When they reach this landmark, they then take another bearing and identify to the next obvious landmark. The navigator continues this process until they reach their destination. By walking to intermediate landmarks, a navigator reduces the amount of lateral drift and thereby reduces that chance of veering off of the bearing
