Line(s), Guy : Normally 40 m (130 ft) in length and made from No. 5 hemp sash cord or from plaited polyester fibre log-line of the same size with a minimum breaking load of 600 lb (272 kg). May be used in conjunction with turntable rescue lines to help maintain stability in a high wind or with lowering lines to keep an object which is being lowered cleared of obstructions on its descent. The guy line may be permanently attached to the lowering line by means of a clove hitch
