Line(s), Lowering : A 51 mm (2 in) line of Italian hemp or terylene, 40 m (130 ft) long, used for rescue, having two legs spliced in at one end with a running noose. An alternative, if required, is a snap hook with or without a swivel. Lowering lines are primarily rescue lines
