Lock-Out 13 : The temporary closing down by the employer of a factory or establishment in order to compel workers to agree with the conditions dictated by the employer to force them to comply with some of its demands. the tactic is generally considered to be the managerial equivalent of a strike. during the lock-out the workers involved are not entitled to any pay since no work can be performed.
