Mathematical transformation that relates response to a stated dose or concentration of a toxicant to the response in the absence of the toxicant by the formula: Logit = lg [B/(B0-B)] where B is the response to the stated dose or concentration and B0 is the response in the absence of the toxicant. Plotting the logit function against the logarithm of base 10 of the dose or concentration usually gives a linear relationship
