Antioxidant 1
Antioxidant 1 : (Chem) A compound used as an additive to retard deterioration by oxidation. Antioxidants for human food and animal feeds, sometimes called freshness preservers, retard rancidity of fats and loss of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K). Antioxidants also are added to rubber, motor lubricants, and other materials to inhibit deterioration by molecular oxygen (autoxidation)
