Antitoxin 1 : Medicine. (Med) A substance found in the blood serum and often in other body fluids that is specifically antagonistic to a particular poison or toxin released by bacteria, as opposed to antibodies, which attach themselves to antigens on the surfaces of the bacteria themselves
