Milli-k


Milli-k :

A unit used in nuclear engineering to describe the "reactivity" of a nuclear reactor. One milli-k is a reactivity of 0.001 or 0.1%; the origin of the name is that "k" is a common symbol for reactivity. This unit was introduced in the Canadian nuclear power industry.
