Minimum Ignition Temperature (MIT Layer and Cloud) 1 : It is the lowest temperature at which the dust ignition process starts. It determines whether a present heat source is able of initiating the process or not. The corresponding test can be done either with the dust forming a cloud (MIT-c) or deposited in a layer (MIT-l)
