Appeal Period 2 : The statutory period, beginning on the date of second publication of proposed BFEs, proposed modified BFEs, proposed base flood depths, or proposed modified base flood depths in the local newspaper, during which community officials or owners or lessees of real property within the community may appeal the proposed or proposed modified BFEs and/or base flood depths by submitting data to show those BFEs or base flood depths are scientifically or technically incorrect
