Appleby-Frodingham : A process for removing hydrogen sulfide and organic sulfur compounds from coke-oven gas by absorption on iron oxide particles in a fluidized bed at 350?C. The absorbent is regenerated with air at a higher temperature, and the resulting sulfur dioxide is used to make sulfuric acid
