Multi-Degree of Freedom

Multi-Degree of Freedom : A term applied to a structure or other dynamical system that possess more than a single degree of freedom. The number of degrees of freedom of a complex system is equal to the number of independent variables needed to fully describe the spatial distribution of its response at any instant.
