Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) 1 : A syndrome characterised by an abnormal, multi-organ sensitivity following chemical exposures. There is lack of agreement as to what the underlying pathological mechanisms are and whether multiple chemical sensitivity should be viewed as a separate clinical entity.
