Mushroom Ventilator
Mushroom Ventilator : A small ventilator fitted to the deck over the living accommodation having a mushroom-shaped top which can be raised or lowered from the inside as required. Mutation. The beginning of a new character in an off-spring (plant or animal) which is not inherited from the parents. Such a change is passed on to the descendants. Mutations are sometimes caused by X-rays: it is possible that they are caused by cosmic rays. Example: (1) A plant with red flowers produces a few seeds which grow into plants with white flowers; (2) bacteria and viruses mutate so that the mutant strain becomes less (or more) dangerous to man
