Mutual Aid 18 :
Disaster Management. Voluntary aid and assistance by the provision of services and facilities including but not limited to: fire, police, medical and health, communications, transportation, and utilities. Mutual aid is intended to provide adequate resources, facilities, and other support to jurisdictions whenever their own resources prove to be inadequate to cope with a given situation. (SEMS) resources are compensated for their response costs. Other authorities designate this as compensated mutual aid
