National Disaster Medical System (NDMS), HHS 10

National Disaster Medical System (NDMS), HHS 10 :

"NDMS is a coordinated effort among the HHS, DoD, VA, and DHS. NDMS is comprised of full time Federal employees, as well as intermittent Federal employees drawn from the private sector and organized into a variety of emergency medical disaster response teams who provide health services to the needs of victims of public health emergencies. NDMS, in coordination with the DoD and the VA, also provides patient evacuation to designated locations throughout the United States for casualties that cannot be cared for locally. The NDMS staff continuously evaluate the effectiveness of its systems and programs, based on customer feedback, to improve services and operations, while reducing administrative expenses".
