National Emergency Management Principles and Practice Advisory Group (NEMPPAG)
National Emergency Management Principles and Practice Advisory Group (NEMPPAG) : The purpose of the NEMPPAG is to oversight the development of a series of manuals which describe best practice in all facets of emergency management. The tasks of the NEMPPAG are to: (1) review the proposed structure for principles and practice manuals to ensure that it is appropriate; (2) identify topics for each level of the principles and practice structure; (3) agree on the content to be included in each manual; (4) review the briefs prepared for authors for individual manuals; (5) identify prospective authors for individual manuals; (6) comment on the content of selected draft manuals; (7) conduct a periodic review of each manual contained in the principles and practice series; (8) brief the National Emergency Management Committee of progress in the development of national emergency management principles and practice; and, (9) contribute to the National Emergency Management Strategy.
