"By 30 June 2006, the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, in coordination with the Chairman, shall present to the Deputy Secretary a concept brief for establishing an expanded National Security University (NSU), to include: A progress report on the congressionally mandated study outlined in section 583 of the 2006 National Defense Authorization Act Professional military education and curriculum design considerations; language and cultural awareness education Relationships among NSU and other educational and outreach institutions, both US Government-operated and private Factors relating to student matriculation, retention, and placement Efforts to ensure cost-sharing among sponsoring and participating organizations DOD command and control relationships and arrangements".
