Approved 05 : Acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction. The authority having jurisdiction is the organization, office, or individual responsible for approving fire and oil spill containment and recovery equipment, its installation, and appropriate safety procedures. This authority may be a Government or Corporate fire code official, a site emergency protection officer, a qualified site or corporate emergency safety person, an HSE Professional or any combination of these or other appropriate person, as designated by the Government or Organisation concerned
