NCSL 2 : National Conference of State Legislatures. NCSL is a bipartisan organization to serve lawmakers and staffs of the nation's states, commonwealths, and territories. It is a source for research, publications, consulting assistance, meetings, and seminars. Its website, created within hours after the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001, serves as a clearinghouse of information for legislators, legislative staff, the public, and the media. NCSL joins with other organizations to advise on matters of public safety and security.
