Newton's Laws of Motion 2

Newton's Laws of Motion 2 : (Phys) The three fundamental principles of classical mechanics: (1) A body at rest or in motion remains at rest or in motion at constant speed in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force Also called: Galileo's Law of Inertia. (2) The acceleration of a body is directly proportional to the force acting on the body and inversely proportional to the mass of the body. (3) A force exerted by one body on another is equal and opposite to the force exerted by the second body on the first Also called: Law of Action and Reaction)
