"The Office of the Director and five functional branches will provide direct oversight for the ongoing management and maintenance of the NIMS and its major components utilizing an integrated approach. The five functional branches of the NIC include the following: (1) Publications Management Branch; (2) Standards and Resource Branch; (3) Training and Exercises Branch; (4) System Evaluation and Compliance Branch; and (5) Technology/R&D Branch".
