Nine [2] :
A measure of reliability, or "availability," used in computer engineering. For example, a component has "3 nines" of reliability if it operates correctly 99.9% of the time, or, equivalently, if its failure rate is 0.1%. Thus each nine represents a reduction of 90% in the failure rate. If the probability of correct operation is p, then the reliability, in nines, is equal to -log10(1-p)
