Non-Dimensional Equation :
An equation in which each member has been rendered free of physical physical dimensions by the systematic introduction of a set of reference constants. The dynamical equations for two dimensional flow, for example, may be made non-dimensional by introducing the constants: /=*., 5=2., u = lL, where / is a characteristic length in the x-direction, 8 a characteristic depth, and U a reference velocity; £, f, and x are new non-dimensional variables or parameters replacing x, z, and t, respectively.
