Normal Distribution 4

Normal Distribution 4 : (Syn: Gaussian distribution) The continuous frequency distribution of infinite range represented by the equation: f(x) = (1/[2BF2]1/2) e-(x-: )2/2F2, where x is the abscissa,f(x) is the ordinate,: is the mean, and F the standard deviation. The properties of a normal distribution include the following: (1) It is a continuous, symmetrical distribution; both tails extend to infinity; (2) the arithmetic mean, mode, and median are identical; and (3) its shape is completely determined by the mean and standard deviation.
