Nuclear Lesions : Body lesions caused by external exposure to radiation and internal of external contamination with radioactive material. Radiation exposure can effect part of the body or the whole body. External contamination effects skin and mucous membranes, while internal contamination leads to systemic effects or effects on specific organs (e.g. the thyroid)
