Obscuration of Smoke
Obscuration of Smoke : Reduction in the intensity of light due to its passage through smoke. NOTE 1 In practice, obscuration of smoke is usually measured as the transmittance which is normally expressed as a percentage. NOTE 2 Obscuration of smoke causes a reduction in visibility.
