Occupational Health 7 :

The development, promotion, and maintenance of workplace policies and programs that ensure the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of employees. These policies and programs strive to: (1) prevent harmful health effects because of the work environment, (2) protect employees from health hazards while on the job, (3) place employees in work environments that are suitable to their physical and mental make-up, (4) address other factors that may affect an employee’s health and well-being, such as: (a) ineffective organization of work, (b) harassment and violence in the workplace, (c) the need to balance work and family responsibilities (e.g., elder care, child care) promote healthy lifestyles (An OSH glossary used in safety and health at work which is, adopted by ILO {102}..
