Occupational Health Surveillance Systems :

are systems which include a functional capacity for data collection, analysis and dissemination linked to occupational health programmes. It refers to all activities at individual, group, enterprise, community, regional and country levels to detect and assess any significant departure from health caused by working conditions, and to monitor workers' general health. Occupational health surveillance programmes record instances of occupational exposures or work-related illness, injury or death and monitor trends in their occurrences across different types of economic activities, over time, and between geographical areas
