Occupational Safety Inspection
Occupational Safety Inspection : A visit by authorities or authorized persons to check and ensure the safety of the workplace. This includes the inspection of machines, chemicals, electricity, scaffolding, fire safety, and general housekeeping. In some countries this inspection is undertaken by specialists within the labour inspectorate; in others, it is undertaken by a totally separate inspectorate within the ministry of commerce or industry, or similar body.
