Office for Domestic Preparedness (ODP, DOJ) 1998-2007 :

Established in 1998 within the Department of Justice, pursuant to Public Law 105-119, and made responsible for developing and administering a domestic preparedness program to provide financial assistance to states, U.S. territories, and local governments for domestic preparedness training and equipment. On March 1, 2003 the ODP was transferred to DHS and later renamed the Office of Grants and Training. On April 1, 2007 OGT was transferred to FEMA's National Preparedness Directorate and renamed Grant Programs Directorate. (DHS/OIG, Audit, Dec 2007, 3)
