Open-Loop System


Open-Loop System : (Techn) A control system without a means for comparing the output with the input. Note: An example is a switch (controlling input), light bulb (controlled object), and light (output). The essential characteristic is that the quality and magnitude of the output are independent of the controlling input. See: Closed-Loop system
